Privacy policy.
Last updated: 8 July 2026 · Applies to getbikefit.com
GetBikeFit ("we", "us") is operated from Ireland and provides video-based bike fit analysis. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what rights you have. The data controller is Andrew Healy, trading as GetBikeFit (A92 WEF8, Ireland). Contact: support@getbikefit.com.
What we collect, and why
- Your video. The riding clip you upload. We process it for one purpose only: measuring your riding position to produce your fit report. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Your email address. Used to send your upload link, your fit report, and messages about your order. Legal basis: performance of contract.
- Payment data. Handled entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number — we see only that payment succeeded, the amount, and the email you used.
- Basic technical logs. Our host (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and request logs to serve and secure the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure service (Art. 6(1)(f)).
What we don't do
- No advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. The site sets no cookies of its own.
- No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
- No identification of you from your videos — we measure joint angles, not identity.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Stripe (payments) — see Stripe's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, email routing).
Where these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep things
- Videos: deleted within 24 hours of analysis.
- Your fit report (PDF): deleted 100 days after it is produced.
- Your order record and email address: kept for 12 months so we can honour your remaining analyses and handle support, then deleted.
- Payment records: kept as required by Irish tax law (typically 6 years), held by Stripe and in our accounts.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to: access the data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to processing; or receive it in a portable format. Email support@getbikefit.com and we will respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) or your local EU supervisory authority.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has used it, contact us and we will delete the data.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version appears here with an updated date. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
